Wales and Popular Protest

Llafur will be hosting a Day School at the Museum of Cardiff, The Old Library on Saturday 16th November 2019. The event will look at protests, riots and activism in Wales from the nineteenth century onwards. 

Speakers include Rhian E. Jones, author of Petticoat Heroes: Gender, Culture and Popular Protest in the Rebecca Riots (2015), Victoria Rogers, museum manager at the Museum of Cardiff, USW History's Rachel Lock-Lewis, and Gaynor Legall, the first BME councillor in Wales.

Fighting Back will take place between 10:30am and 4:00pm. Registration is free by contacting James Phillips, Llafur events secretary at phillipsj14@cardiff.ac.uk
