Psychological Trauma and the Legacies of the First World War

USW historian Fiona Reid features in a new collection of essays on Psychological Trauma and the Legacies of the First World War, edited by Jason Crouthammel and Peter Leese.

Fiona’s essay ‘Losing Face: Trauma and Maxillofacial Injury in the First World War’ reports on her on-going research on medicine during and after World War One. There’ll be more to come in her book-length study Medicine in the First World War, to be published by Bloomsbury in 2017.
